This is the TikTok version of a pack I already wrote up for LinkedIn. Same builder, same MIT license, same shape: it drafts, it audits, it hands the result back to you, and nothing posts until you approve it. If you live in Claude Code and post short video, it is worth ten minutes.
01. Why this exists
the script is the cheap part now
The builder's line, repeated across every pack in this family: "writing collapsed to the price of a chat subscription." A TikTok script is easy to write. Whether the video gets watched is decided in the first second and by whether the trend fits you.
these skills sit on that. They script the opening beat by beat, check a trending sound against your niche, and turn a week of ideas into a batching plan.
Nobody scrolls past a bad script. They scroll past a bad first second.
Part of the set
sergebulaev ships one of these per platform, all MIT, all the same shape. The full rundown with every source link is on the social media skills hub.
02. What you actually get
one install, no coding
The skills load into Claude Code or Codex and trigger when you ask for something TikTok-shaped. You never call them by name.
| Skill | What it does |
|---|---|
| Hook Scripter | Scripts the first 1 to 3 seconds: the spoken line, the on-screen text and the opening visual, by goal |
| Caption Writer | Writes captions under 2,200 characters, picks 3 to 5 hashtags, sets the platform options, publishes via Publora |
| Trend Mapper | Maps trending sounds and formats to your niche, runs a fit check, scripts an authentic twist |
| Humanizer | Removes AI-script tells: vocabulary density, reveal bridges, staccato rhythm, filler phrases, with an audit mode |
| Content Planner | Builds a weekly plan with per-day hooks, sounds, lengths, goals and a batching schedule |
| Repurposer | Rebuilds content from other platforms into native TikTok scripts and captions |
| Profile Optimizer | Audits and rewrites the profile end to end: photo, bio, username, pinned videos, positioning |
| Audience Insights | Reads your niche from real Apify data: top hashtag videos, winning hooks, competitors |
03. Install it
a plugin marketplace, no coding
It ships as a plugin. Add the marketplace, install the pack, and the skills are live in your next session.
# Claude Code (CLI, Desktop, Web, IDEs)
/plugin marketplace add sergebulaev/tiktok-skills
/plugin install tiktok-skills@tiktok-skills
# Codex CLI
codex plugin marketplace add sergebulaev/tiktok-skills
codex plugin add tiktok-skills@tiktok-skills
# any other agent
npx skills add sergebulaev/tiktok-skillsNothing else is required. The optional keys in section 6 only matter if you want it to schedule posts or generate cover art.
04. The loop: draft, audit, approve
the approve step is the job
The flow is always the same. You describe the video. Hook Scripter drafts the opening, Caption Writer drafts the caption, Trend Mapper checks the sound. Humanizer scores the script and flags the lines that read as written by a machine. Then it stops and shows you everything. Nothing posts until you say so.
Paste without reading and you post like everyone else running the same tool. The gate is where your judgment goes in.
05. The skills that carry it
the rest are useful, these are the reason to install
Hook Scripter is the whole point. It does not write a caption, it writes the first beat: the line you say, the text on screen and the first frame, matched to what you want the video to do. That is the part that decides whether anyone stays.
Trend Mapper is the one that keeps you from chasing badly. It takes a trending sound or format, checks whether it actually fits your niche, and scripts a version that is yours instead of a copy. Most trend-chasing fails the fit check and this makes you run it.
Humanizer matters more for spoken scripts than for text. A written tell you can skim past. A script tell you hear, and it makes a real person sound fake on camera.
Audience Insights runs on Apify with no login. It pulls the top videos in your niche, the hooks that are working and who your competitors are, so the planner has real inputs.
06. The optional paid add-ons
the pack is free, these extend it
The core is free forever. Two integrations extend it and you only add what you need. Keys go in a .env file.
| Service | What it adds | Cost |
|---|---|---|
| Publora | Schedules and publishes video directly | Free signup, pay-as-you-go for video |
| Pixfaro | Generates cover images with brand overlays | From about 0.004 dollars per image |
| Apify | Powers Audience Insights | Free, no login required |
You can run the whole thing with zero keys and post each approved script and caption into TikTok yourself.
07. The completely free setup
run it with zero paid keys
Every skill in this pack works without Publora, Pixfaro or Apify. With no keys it drops to manual mode: it still drafts and audits, then hands you text to paste yourself instead of publishing. A few prompts make that mode smooth, and you can wire in free automation on top if you want it.
| Paid piece | Free version |
|---|---|
| Publora, publishing | A clean copy-paste block, or a local Playwright script that logs in with your own browser session |
| Pixfaro, images | Generate in ChatGPT or anywhere else, hand the skill the file path. Or skip images |
| Apify, Audience Insights data | davidteather/TikTok-Api (pip install TikTokApi) |
For TikTok, the data scraper is davidteather/TikTok-Api. It is read-only by design, it cannot post, and it needs an ms_token copied from your TikTok cookies.
Right after install, paste this into Claude Code in the plugin's folder to turn on free mode:
I will not use Publora, Pixfaro or Apify. Read every SKILL.md and the files
in lib/ (apify_client.py, publora_client.py, pixfaro_client.py). Make all
skills work with zero paid keys: publishing outputs a clean copy-paste
block, images print the prompt and then accept a local file path, data
fetch asks me to paste the content when no scraper is set up. Do not change
any function names or return shapes. Add FREE_MODE=1 to .env.example. Show
me a summary of every change. That alone is a working free setup. The rest is optional polish, each a one-paragraph prompt to Claude Code: swap the Apify calls in lib/apify_client.py for the scraper above, keeping the return shape and putting the new code in lib/free_scrapers.py so one import flips it back; rewrite lib/publora_client.py to post with Playwright from your saved browser session and stop before the final click unless you pass auto=True; make lib/pixfaro_client.py take a local image path instead of calling the API.
Day to day: the skill drafts and humanizes, then you paste the post yourself or let the Playwright step do it. Need an image, the skill prints a prompt, you make it elsewhere and give back the path. Audience Insights runs off the local data source.
Total cost, zero. Worth knowing: these scrapers are unofficial and against each platform's terms of service, they break whenever the platform changes its markup, and TikTok changes its internal API often, so expect the scraper to need updates. Keep request volume low.
08. The first three seconds
why this pack is built around the hook
On TikTok the video is short enough that the script is not the constraint. The constraint is the opening. If the first second does not hold, nothing after it matters.
So the pack is weighted that way. Hook Scripter builds the open, Trend Mapper decides whether a format is worth riding, and Humanizer keeps the delivery from sounding written. Those three are the workflow. Captions, planning and profile are support.
09. The catch, in plain words
read this before you install
A skill pack does not give you taste. It scripts a hook, but it cannot tell you the video is worth filming or that a trend suits you. That judgment stays with you, and the approve step is where you apply it.
Your voice needs feeding too. Give it a few of your own real scripts to work from, not a description, or the output sounds like a generic TikTok voiceover.
And Publora publishes on your behalf if you connect it. Read what it does before you paste a key.
10. Who should use it
the honest verdict
Use it if you already work in Claude Code or Codex and you post short video, or keep meaning to start. It gives you a real hook scripter and a trend fit check for free, which is most of the job on this platform.
Skip it if you do not use an agent day to day, or if you already nail the first second every time.
There is a version of this for every other platform too. All of them, with source links, are on the social media skills hub.
The pack is on GitHub, it is MIT, and it takes ten minutes to try. Worst case, nothing changes. Best case, your first second stops being an afterthought.
