A developer who goes by sergebulaev built a set of skill packs for Claude Code and Codex, one per platform. Each one drafts posts, comments and replies in your voice, audits them for AI tells, and waits for your approval before anything publishes. They are all free, all MIT licensed, and they all work the same way. This page is the index: what each pack does, its source repo, and a deeper write-up for every one.
01. What this is
seven packs, one idea
The packs cover LinkedIn, X, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, Threads and Facebook. They are part of one family the builder calls linked-skills, which has passed 400 stars across the set.
The pitch behind all of them is the same. In the builder's words, "writing collapsed to the price of a chat subscription." What stayed valuable is the work around the writing: knowing what your niche posted this week, keeping a list of the people worth replying to, and catching a weak draft before the platform does.
02. The shape they all share
draft, audit, approve, publish
Every pack runs the same loop. You describe what you want. A writer skill drafts it. A humanizer skill scores it and flags the lines that read as generated. It stops and shows you the result. Nothing goes live until you approve it.
Most packs also share the same support skills: a Hook Extractor that reverse-engineers viral posts into blank templates, a Content Planner that builds a week, a Repurposer that converts your work from other platforms, and a Profile Optimizer that rewrites your bio and page. The YouTube pack is the odd one out: it packages videos rather than writing them, so it has a Title Optimizer and a Thumbnail Brief instead of a Post Writer.
The skill writes the post. It cannot tell you the post is worth writing.
03. The seven packs, with source links
what each one is for
| Platform | What the pack is for | Source | Deep dive |
|---|---|---|---|
| Posts, comments, replies, profile. The B2B and personal-brand pack. | repo ↗ | read | |
| X | Tweets, threads, replies. Built around the thread and the reply habit. | repo ↗ | read |
| Captions, carousels, sized hashtag sets. Built around the carousel. | repo ↗ | read | |
| YouTube | Titles, thumbnail briefs, descriptions, hooks. Packaging, not scripts. | repo ↗ | read |
| TikTok | The first-3-second hook, captions, trend fit checks, weekly batching. | repo ↗ | read |
| Threads | Posts, replies, corpus-validated hooks. Built around tone. | repo ↗ | read |
| Short Page posts, comment replies, weekly plan. For a Page, not a profile. | repo ↗ | read |
04. What they all cost
free core, optional paid layers
The skills themselves are free forever. Each pack has the same three optional integrations, and you only add the ones you need. Keys go in a .env file in the repo.
| Service | What it adds | Cost |
|---|---|---|
| Publora | Auto-publishes to the platform, handles thread splitting and cross-posting | Free signup, then paid tiers for volume |
| Pixfaro | Generates images and covers for posts | From about 0.004 dollars per image |
| Apify | Powers Audience Insights, reading real niche data | Free with no login on some packs, usage-based on others |
You can run any pack with zero keys and paste each approved draft into the platform yourself.
05. Running any of them for free
zero paid keys, every pack
None of these packs need Publora, Pixfaro or Apify. With no keys a pack drops to manual mode: it still drafts and audits, then hands you text to paste yourself instead of publishing. One prompt right after install makes that mode smooth.
I will not use Publora, Pixfaro or Apify. Read every SKILL.md and the files
in lib/ (apify_client.py, publora_client.py, pixfaro_client.py). Make all
skills work with zero paid keys: publishing outputs a clean copy-paste
block, images print the prompt and then accept a local file path, data
fetch asks me to paste the content when no scraper is set up. Do not change
any function names or return shapes. Add FREE_MODE=1 to .env.example. Show
me a summary of every change.Optional polish, done with a one-paragraph prompt each: a local Playwright script replaces Publora for hands-off posting, a local image path replaces Pixfaro, and a free open-source scraper replaces Apify for Audience Insights. The scraper differs by platform.
| Platform | Free data scraper |
|---|---|
joeyism/linkedin_scraper plus gurbaaz27/linkedin-comments-scraper, both need a throwaway-account cookie | |
| X | vladkens/twscrape, rotates through burner accounts by cookie |
instaloader, reads public profiles and hashtags with no login | |
| YouTube | None. Audience Insights already uses the free YouTube Data API |
| TikTok | davidteather/TikTok-Api, read-only, needs an ms_token from your cookies |
| Threads | A community package such as ChenBingWei1201/threads_scraper |
kevinzg/facebook-scraper, reads public Pages with no login |
Each platform page above has the full free walkthrough.
Total cost, zero. Worth knowing: these scrapers are unofficial and against each platform's terms of service, and they break whenever the platform changes its markup. Keep request volume low, especially on a burner account.
06. Install any of them
same commands, different repo name
Every pack installs the same way. Swap in the platform you want.
# Claude Code (CLI, Desktop, Web, IDEs)
/plugin marketplace add sergebulaev/x-skills
/plugin install x-skills@x-skills
# Codex CLI
codex plugin marketplace add sergebulaev/x-skills
codex plugin add x-skills@x-skills
# any other agent
npx skills add sergebulaev/x-skillsReplace x-skills with linkedin-skills, instagram-skills, youtube-skills, tiktok-skills, threads-skills or facebook-skills.
07. The catch, in plain words
true for every pack in the set
A skill pack does not give you taste. It drafts a hook in your voice, but it cannot judge whether the idea under it is worth posting. That judgment stays with you, and the approve step is where you apply it.
The output only sounds like you if you show it you. Feed each pack three or four of your own real posts for that platform, not a description of your style, or it drifts back to the platform default.
The paid integrations act on your account. Publora publishes on your behalf and Apify reads live platform data at a cost per result. Read what each one does before you paste a key, the same as any integration.
08. Which one to start with
pick by where you already post
If you sell to businesses or you are building a personal brand, start with LinkedIn or X. Those two carry the most weight for that audience and the packs are the most complete.
If you are a creator, start with the platform you already film for: Instagram, TikTok or YouTube. Do not install all three at once, get one working first.
If you keep meaning to be active on Threads, its reply drafter and tone check are the fastest way to actually start. And if you run a business Facebook Page that keeps going quiet, that pack is built for exactly that problem.
Every pack is on GitHub, every one is MIT, and each takes ten minutes to try. Pick the platform you already show up on and start there.
